Rationalisation of COM/NAV/SUR functionalities and/or technologies for CNS systems supporting cost efficiency, spectrum efficiency. The aim of the rationalisation of the COM/NAV/SUR functionalities and technologies is to produce more efficient systems i.e. in terms of RF use and cost savings. When sharing components from different systems, contingency procedures in case of failure should be studied and implemented.
