POI-0003-SDM — Improving controller productivity by introducing new methods of controller interaction.
ATCOs will be supported by introducing innovative human machine interaction technologies at the CWP. The goal is to automatically support certain tasks of the ATCO, which are not done or done manually today in today's systems / CWPs.
- Rationale
- In the Master Plan, increased automation support is one of the key features for handling the inceasing requirements on the future Air Traffic Management. Supporting air traffic controllers by modern human machine interaction technologies aims to reduce workload and increase capacity at the CWP (ER/APP respectively Tower).
