ER APP ATC 109 — Support for Metering Of Interacting Arrival Flows to Multiple Airports Upstream of the TMAs
The system calculates the sequence of aircraft flying towards areas where their routes merge or intersect in a volume upstream of the TMAs. By imposing an adequate spacing of the aircraft in those areas the system supports ATCOs in the prevention of bunching of arrival flows in the En-Route sectors adjacent to the TMAs where arrival Flows to Multiple Airports merge or intersect. The system generates advisories to the upstream en-route sectors to meet such volume flow constraints and TMA arrival sequencing.
