CM-0802 — Display and use of ACAS resolution advisory downlink on the controller working position
Controllers are automatically informed when ACAS (airborne collision avoidance system) generates an RA (resolution advisory). This improvement is intended to complement the voice report by the pilot.
- Rationale
- The objective is to inform controllers of an RA event faster, more reliably and in a structured way, and hence increase controller's situational awareness in critical situations. The display options, the interactions with other ground safety nets (e.g. STCA) and ATCO's associated operational procedures stand within the scope of this OI Step.
