AOM-0603 — Enhanced Terminal Airspace for RNP-based Operations

Terminal Airspace is further enhanced with the use of RNP based instrument procedures (e.g. RNP1 SIDs and STARs). Holding areas are redefined in terms of size and location.

Rationale
Based on the application of RNP capability, which may include 3D management on routes, advanced applications are expected from 2015 with metering of aircraft from en-route to Terminal airspace.
