AUO-0507 — Airborne Spacing Monitoring under IFR (ATSAW - Spacing monitoring)

The Airborne Spacing monitoring under IFR operation consists in enabling the Flight crew to monitor spacing ('no closer than' a time or distance spacing) with regard to a given traffic, by managing speed with the support of CDTI augmented with monitoring and alerting function.

Rationale
The objective is to facilitate transitions from IMC operations to Visual Separations when VMC can be met (in particular CAVS, CAPP).
In addition, there is the potential to increase efficiency of other operations (e.g. i4D, time based separation, Continuous Descent Operations) not requiring this capability.
