CM-0211 — Advanced Support for Conflict Detection and Resolution for ATC planning in En Route

The system provides real-time assistance to the En route ATC Planning in conflict detection and resolution. It is based on new approaches that enhance and refine the existing tools yielding more efficient and usable services.

Rationale
In order to provide more efficient automated Conflict Detection and Resolution tools compared to the existing ones, the proposed CD aids are based on innovative approaches or comprise enhanced or new functionalities.

Enhanced or new functionalities of CD aid to ATC Planning may comprise:
- Improved What If probing showing conflicts that occur if a given clearance is applied
- Improved What Else function that proposes alternative trajectory and FL changes to the ATCOs
- Integrated Coordination provides an automatic assessment of certain types of traffic offered to the sector at the entry boundary.
- Conflict Risk Display which constantly displays a complete list of conflicts including:
- Coordination Context Risks (CCRs) which shows planning encounters when the encounter is predicted to be within Area of Responsibility (AoR);
- Interest Context Risks (ICRs) which shows planning encounters with one or more flights in the Area of Interest (AoI)
