POI-0001-MET — Improved Weather Awareness through Enhanced Automated MET observation

Weather Awareness is improved through Enhanced Automated MET capabilities that will significantly enhance current possibilities of automated weather observation. This is achieved by improving the monitoring of current weather situation while special attention will be given to heterogeneous weather conditions with heightened aviation impact at remote aerodrome whereas data needed will be gathered from both standard and advanced observing techniques.

Rationale
There is a need to support and complement usage of Remote Tower through Advanced Automated MET capabilities that should significantly enhance current possibilities of automated weather observation.
Those advanced Automated MET capabilities can also be advantageously used with conventional Towers.
